An island 8 km N of Bruce Nunatak, located in the Robbeninseln (English name Seal Nunataks), off the E coast of Antarctic Peninsula. First charted in 1902 by the Swedish Antarctic Expedition under Nordenskjöld, and named by him for Captain Eduard Dallmann. Discovered - and named 'Jasoninsel' - during expedition 1893/94 (vessels 'Jason' and 'Hertha') under the Norwegian Captain Carl Anton Larsen, financed by the Hamburg Company Woltereck & Robertson.
Island named after one of the expedition vessels 'Jason'.
