Before entering Filchner-Ronne-Schelfeis, Möllereisstrom ist passing the ice dome Bungenstockrücken in the W and joining with Institute Ice Streamon in the E, both traversing the passage between Berkner Island (in the E) and Henry Ice Rice (in the W), Weddell Sea. Named during German Antarctic Expedition 1985/86

Named For

Dietrich Möller (1927-2015), German geodesist, initiator of the German Antarctic surveying programme, in particular of high precision glaciological strain measurements and analyses of ice shelf movements.
