Narrative

A ca 20 m x 40 m sized nunatak projecting about 10 m from the ice surface in the N part of Kottasberge, situated between Waglenabben and Laudalkammen, Heimefrontfjella, Ritscherhochland, Maudheimvidda, Neuschwabenland, Dronning Maud Land. The nunatak is used since 1986 as a well accessible geodetic control station for scientific measurements; monumented on 1997-FEB-24 with a brass mark.

Named For

Named after Ursula Weigel (1961-1998) wintered at the Georg-von-Neumayer station in 1990-91.
