mainland peninsula N of line joining Rydberg Peninsula at 73°S, 80°W and the grounding line of the Evans Ice Stream at approx 76°34'S, 75°00'W. Previously defined as N of a line joining Cape Adams and a point 73°24'S 72°00'W on English Coast, the southern limit was moved in 2009 to its current position to more accurately reflect its extent and include an area not previously named. Comprises Graham Land (q.v.) and Palmer Land (q.v.). Until 1964 Graham Land was used by GBR for the whole peninsula (APC, 1953).
