Narrative

rising to c. 500m on SW side of the head of Holtedahl Bay, Graham Coast, was photographed from the air by FIDASE, 1956-57; in association with the names of pioneers of research on snow-blindness and design of snow-goggles grouped in this area, named after Ralph Stair (b.1900), physicist with the US National Bureau of Standards, who worked on the transmissive properties of tinted glass (APC, 1959a, p.11).
