This name originates from Japan. It is part of the Japan Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
Adjacent two rock exposures 5 km southeast of Fukushima Dake. Altitude of higher peak is 2085.6 m asl. Surveyed by JARE in 1969, and named Hae-no-iwa (southerly wind rocks).
