This name originates from Japan. It is part of the Japan Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
A small rock exposure (2114 m asl.) 5.5 km south of Mont Gaston de Gerlache, the southern part of Yamato Sanmyaku. Surveyed by JARE in 1973, and named Hiku-iwa (low rock).
