This name originates from Japan. It is part of the Japan Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The second highest peak (2256 m) of Mont Goossens in the northern part of Yamato Sanmyaku. Surveyed by JARE in 1960, and named Torimai Dake (bird circling peak).
