This name originates from Japan. It is part of the Japan Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
A small rock exposure (2214.3 m) just east of a vast moraine field (Ôgi-ga-hara) in the southern part of Yamato Sanmyaku. Surveyed by JARE in 1973, and named Uti-hanare Iwa (inner remote rock).
