This name originates from New Zealand. It is part of the New Zealand Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
A descriptivve name for a valley in Barne Glacier near Turret Cone, 1 1/2 miles inland from Cape Barne on Ross Island. It forms the best approach for sledges to the lower slopes of Mt Erebus. Named by the BAE, 1907-09.
