A bay about 10 miles wide and indenting the coast for a distance of about 8 miles, lying between Cape Bernacchi and Butter Point along the coast of Victoria Land. Discovered by the NAE, 1901-04, and so named because this new harbour was found while the Discovery was seeking the farthest possible southern anchorage along the coast of Victoria Land.
