This name originates from Australia. It is part of the Australian Antarctic Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
A small but conspicuous knoll about 0.7 km south of the western end of Lake Dingle on Broad Peninsula, Vestfold Hills. This feature is a very useful landmark and has a cairn on it.
Descriptive as the knoll acts as a "sentinel"
