A large glacier flowing from the polar plateau of Victoria Land and entering the Ross Ice Shelf at Skelton Inlet. The name, bestowed by the New Zealand Party of the TAE, 1956-58, derives its origin from the Skelton Inlet. This glacier was chosen in 1957 as the New Zealand Party's route from the Ross Ice Shelf to the polar plateau.
