Narrative

Nunatak W-most in Lingetoppane, Fimbulheimen. After Knut Haugland, b. 1917, lieutenant. Radio operator during the heavy water sabotage in Telemark and later in the Oslo area, where he also was adviser for the Milorg Central Leadership and involved in developing its radio communication system. He was captured by the Gestapo after a parachute landing, and made a brilliant escape. Later he shot his way through many Gestapo men who raided his radio station.
