Narrative

Nunatak E-most in Lingetoppane, E part of Fimbulheimen. After Gunnar Sønsteby, b. 1918, captain. After intense resistance activity on the home front from the early war years, he became a wanted person by the Gestapo. He went to England where he joined the Linge Company, returning to Norway shortly after. He became a most trusted leader of the "Oslo Gang", performing several most daring and efficient sabotage actions.
