This name originates from Poland. It is part of the Poland Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
A prominent hill (50-150 m a.s.l.) south of Mount Pond, at Whalers Bay, Deception Island. Named in honour of Prof. Olav Holtedahl who made the first systematic study of the Deception Island volcano during the Norwegian Antarctic Expedition, 1927-1929. Reference map-sheet 1:25,000 (Hawkes 1961).
