This name originates from Australia. It is part of the Australian Antarctic Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
A bay in the Vestfold Hills on the northern side of Crooked Fjord just to the west of Lake Burton and south of Mule Peninsula. The bay is ice covered in winter and often ice free in summer.
Named after Professor Don Adamson who has made a great contribution to studies of the younger evolution of the Antarctic environment and has published many papers on the topic.
