This name originates from Australia. It is part of the Australian Antarctic Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
A lake just to the south-west of Blundell Peak in the Larsemann Hills with its southern end buried under the edge of an ice dome. Biological work was carried out at this lake, by members of the 1986-87 ANARE field party.
One of a pair of lakes called "Jack" and "Jill" after the nursery rhyme characters. There is an associated hill called Tumbledown Hill.
