Valley 2 mi long in a NW-SE direction, cutting through the mid-part of Seymour Island, which lies S of the NE end of Antarctic Peninsula. Discovered by the SwedAE under Nordenskjold, 1901-04, and named Querthal (cross valley) because of the transverse alignment of the valley.
