Feature type: Water body
This name originates from Australia. It is part of the Australian Antarctic Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
This curious salt lake in the Vestfold Hills has a connection with the sea. It is hypersaline and stratified, that is the upper water is always fresher than the lower water.
Named for Dr Lloyd Fletcher, Medical Officer at Davis in 1978 who assisted with the water sampling program in spite of difficult weather conditions.
