This name originates from Australia. It is part of the Australian Antarctic Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
North Angle Lake is located at the western end of Mule Peninsula in the Vestfold Hills. It is close to South Angle Lake and is highly saline. It measures about 400 m by 150 m in size and is a number of metres below sea level. A large sandbar observable during summer from the air, crosses the centre of the lake. It should be considered meromictic.
It is named for the long axis which forms a right angle with South Angle Lake.
