This name originates from United States of America. It is part of the United States Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
A high rock and ice bluff on the W side of Kohler Glacier, standing 5 mi E of Manfull Ridge in the W massif of the Kohler Range, Marie Byrd Land. Mapped by USGS from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1959-66. Named by US-ACAN after Charles E. Morrison Jr., USGS topographic engineer, who conducted surveys on several USGS Antarctic expeditions, including establishment of the Byrd ice-strain network, 1964-65, and surveys in Marie Byrd Land, 1966-67; in Ellsworth Land, 1968-69; in McMurdo Dry Valleys, 1971-72.
