Narrative

A small group of nunataks, the largest being Storkvarvsteinen Peak, situated 9 mi NNE of Slettefjellet in the Muhlig-Hofmann Mountains, Queen Maud Land. Mapped by Norsk Polarinstitutt from surveys and air photos by NorAE, 1956-60. Also mapped by SovAE in 1961; the name is an adjective derived from Onega, a river in the Soviet Union.
