This name originates from United States of America. It is part of the United States Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
A range of mountains on the N side of Balchen Glacier and Block Bay in the Ford Ranges, Marie Byrd Land. Discovered by the ByrdAE (1928-30) and named by Byrd for Albanus Phillips, Sr., a manufacturer of Cambridge, MD, and patron of the Byrd expeditions.
