Narrative

Group of small islands and rocks in the SW part of Holme Bay, Mac. Robertson Land. Mapped by Norwegian cartographers from air photos taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition, 1936-37, and called Innerskjera (the inner skerries). The islands were visited in 1954 and 1955 by ANARE and so renamed by them because an Adelie penguin rookery occupies the largest island in the group.
