Narrative

A large, irregular-shaped lake 0.5 mi SE of Lake Cowan in the E part of Vestfold Hills. The lake was photographed from the air by USN Operation HighJump (1946-47) and was mapped from air photos taken by the SovAE (1956) and ANARE (1957-58). Named Zvezda (star) by the Soviet expedition. Not to be confused with Braunsteffer Lake, which is 0.5 mi SW of Lake Cowan.
