This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
A mountain range located between Barnard Point and Renier Point in eastern Livingston Island, 30 km long in WSW-ENE direction and 7 km wide. Bounded to the N by Moon Bay and Huron Glacier, to the NW by Huntress Glacier, to the W by False Bay and to the SE by Bransfield Strait. British mapping in 1968. Detailed mapping of the westernmost portion by the Spanish Servicio Geografico del Ejercito in 1991, and Bulgarian mapping from a 1995-96 topographic survey. A name of world and national culture. Tangra is the name of the ancient Bulgarian god.
