This name originates from Germany. It is part of the Germany Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.

Narrative

The ice rumple is situated at the SE corner of Ekströmisen, Neuschwabenland, about 4 km W of the grounding line at Halvfarryggen and 25 km E of the grounding line at Söråsen. The max extention is 2,5 km in NE-SW direction and 1 km in NW-SE directon. A deformation zone, nearly 5 km wide, surrounds the ice rumple between its grounding line and freely floating ice shelf. Discovered and mapped by ERS-1/2 SAR Interferometry in 1998.
