This name originates from Italy. It is part of the Italy Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.

Narrative

The valley cross the South part of Frontier Mountain in SW-NE direction. It is 2.5 km long with a width variable from 1 to 1.8 km. The height varies from 2300 to 1900m a.s.l., while the lateral rocky slopes have a height of about 2600m. Named in 1984 by German geologists who found there a great concentration of meteorites.
