This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The 1.8 km wide cove indenting for 600 m the N coast of Greenwich Island NW of Mount Plymouth, and NE of Sevtopolis Peak. Named after the ancient Thracian town of Skaptopara, ancestor of the present Bulgarian city of Blagoevgrad.
