This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The 2.19 km wide cove indenting for 1.48 km the NW extremity of Ray promontory on Byers Peninsula, Livingston Island in the South Shetland Islands. Entered SW of Essex Point and NE of Start Point. British mapping in 1968, Chilean in 1971, Argentine in 1980, Spanish in 1991, and Bulgarian in 2005 and 2009. Named after the city of Svishtov in Northern Bulgaria.
