This name originates from Australia. It is part of the Australian Antarctic Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
An outcrop about 6 km east of Mount Cordwell in Enderby Land. It is named after Keith Jeffrey Gate, radio technical officer at Mawson in 1975, and a member of the ANARE Enderby Land Survey Party in 1976.
After Keith Gate, radio tech Mawson for his assistance to the 1975/76 summer operation as field base technician and survey assistant.
