This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The 300 m wide cove indenting for 650 m the E coast of Greenwich Island S of Santa Cruz Point, and N of Parchevich Ridge. British mapping in 1968. Named after Dame Gruev (1871-1906), a leader of the Bulgarian liberation movement in Macedonia.
