This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The sharp, low ice-free point on the N coast of Livingston Island in the South Shetland Islands projecting 380 m into Barclay Bay. Situated 1.8 km SW of Bilyar Point, 1.58 km NE of Sparadok Point and 2.86 km E of Lair Point. Separating Robbery Beaches on Byers Peninsula on the W from Ivanov Beach on the NE. Linked by a chain of rocks to Cutler Stack located 310 m to the NNW. British mapping in 1968, Chilean in 1971, Argentine in 1980, Spanish in 1992, and Bulgarian in 2005 and 2009. Named after the Bulgarian educator Nedelya Petkova – 'Baba (Grandma) Nedelya' (1826-1894).
