This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The 580 m wide cove indenting for 400 m the N coast of Rugged Island off the W coast of Byers Peninsula, Livingston Island in the South Shetland Islands, and entered W of Simitli Point. British mapping in 1968, Spanish in 1992 and Bulgarian in 2009. Named after Timok River in Northwestern Bulgaria.
