El nombre corresponde al apellido del subteniente Raúl Toledo Castillo, Fuerza Aérea de Chile, uno de los pilotos de los tres hidroaviones Vought Sikorsky embarcados en el petrolero "Maipo" de la Armada de Chile, que participaron en la Expedición Antártica Chilena de 1949-1950. Pico que se ubica a aproximadamente 45 millas al ENE del monte Coman, en la parte central de la península Tierra de O'Higgins.
