Narrative

A glacier 9 mi W of Long Glacier in SE Thurston Island. It flows S along the E side of Shelton head into Abbot Ice Shelf. Named by US-ACAN after Aviation Radioman Vernon R. Hlubeck, PBM Mariner aircrewman in the Eastern Group of USN Operation Highjump, which obtained aerial photographs of Thurston Island and adjoining coastal areas, 1946-47.
