This name originates from United States of America. It is part of the United States Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
A sharp peak which rises to c. 2500 m on the SW ridge from Mount Henderson, in Britannia Range. Named after geologist Lawrence A. Krissek of the Byrd Polar Research Center and Department of Geology and Mineralogy, Ohio State University, Columbus, OH, who worked many austral summers in the central Transantarctic Mountains beginning c. 1985-86.
