This name originates from United States of America. It is part of the United States Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
A high, sharp peak (4677 m) at the SE side of the summit plateau of Vinson Massif, 1.8 mi SE of Mount Vinson. Named by US-ACAN (2006) after Richard Wahlstrom, member of the 1966-67 American Antarctic Mountaineering Expedition that made the first ascent of Vinson Massif and other high mountains in the Sentinel Range.
