This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The point on the W coast of Rugged Island in the South Shetland Islands forming the S side of the entrance to Bogomil Cove. Situated 810 m N of Benson Point, 970 m S of Ugain Point and 2.51 km S of Cape Sheffield. British mapping in 1968, Spanish in 1992, and Bulgarian in 2005, 2009 and 2010. Named after the settlement of Kokalyane in Western Bulgaria.
