This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.

Narrative

The 2.9 km long and 2.5 km wide glacier on Brabant Island in the Palmer Archipelago flowing northeastwards to enter Hill Bay W of Petroff Point. Named for the Bulgarian scientist Ivan Mitev (1924-2006) who discovered the sixth heart tone. Approved on June 3, 2010.
