This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The 1.75 km long and 750 m wide glacier in Imeon Range on Smith Island in the South Shetland Islands. Draining the W slopes of Mount Foster and the N slopes of Slaveykov Peak, and flowing northwestwards of Zavet Saddle to enter Drake Passage S of Garmen Point. Bulgarian mapping in 2009. Named after the settlements of Bistra in Northeastern Bulgaria. Approved on June 3, 2010.
