This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The peak rising to 1050 m in Kondofrey Heights on Trinity Peninsula, Antarctic Peninsula. Situated 2.08 km SW of Skakavitsa Peak, 4 km W by N of Mount Reece and 10.6 km S of Mount Schuyler. Surmounting Victory Glacier to the N. German-British mapping in 1996. Named after the settlement of Gurgulyat in Western Bulgaria. Approved on June 3, 2010.
