This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The 7.5 km long and 2.5 km wide glacier on the E side of southern ì Sentinel Range in Ellsworth Mountains. Situated S of Remington ì Glacier, and flowing southeastwards along the SW side of Johnson ì Spur and E of Mount Benson to join Thomas Glacier. US mapping in ì 1988. Named after the settlement of Obelya in Western Bulgaria, ì now part of the city of Sofia.
