This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The rocky point forming the E side of the entrance to Retizhe Cove on the S coast of Trinity Peninsula in Graham Land. Situated 7.18 km N by E of View Point, 5.82 km ENE of Boil Point, 8.68 km SE of Camel Nunataks and 8.23 km WSW of Mount Cardinal. German-British mapping in 1996. Named after the settlements of Garvan in Northern and Northeastern Bulgaria. Approved on December 6, 2010.
