This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The 1.77 km wide passage between Eagle Island and Yatrus Promontory on the S coast of Trinity Peninsula in Graham Land. German-British mapping in 1996. Named after the medieval fortress of Aripleri in Southeastern Bulgaria. Approved on December 6, 2010.
