This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.

Narrative

The 14 km long and 1.5 km wide glacier on the NE side of Detroit Plateau on southern Trinity Peninsula in Graham Land. Situated S of Aitkenhead Glacier and N of Diplock Glacier. Draining southeastwards along the E slopes of Povien Peak, then turning E between Mount Roberts and Bezenšek Spur, and flowing into Prince Gustav Channel in Weddell Sea. Named after Marla River in Northern Bulgaria.
