This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The 5 km long and 2 km wide glacier on Oscar II Coast, Antarctic Peninsula situated in the SE foothills of Forbidden Plateau S of Jorum Glacier and NE of Crane Glacier. Draining southeastwards to flow into Spillane Fjord W of Mount Birks. British mapping in 1964. Named after the settlement of Chernoochene in Southern Bulgaria.
