This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The 9 km long and 2.6 km wide glacier in Petvar Heights on the SE side of Sentinel Range in Ellsworth Mountains situated NW of Divdyadovo Glacier, NE of the head of Carey Glacier, and SE of Drama Glacier. Flowing eastwards to leave the range ESE of Long Peak. US mapping in 1988. Named after the settlement of Gabare in Northwestern Bulgaria.
