This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The 2.05 km wide cove indenting for 1.03 km the SW coast of Snow Island in the South Shetland Islands. Entered N of Monroe Point and S of Vokil Point. Bulgarian mapping in 2009. Shape enhanced as a result of glacier retreat in the late 20th and early 21st century. Named after the settlement of Barutin in Southern Bulgaria.
